YCSO mourning the loss of Sgt. Ryland Croutch

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has announced the passing of one of their own.

“On behalf of Sheriff Wilmot, it is with the deepest regrets and sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Sgt. Ryland Croutch. Ryland was a beloved father, son, and friend and his untimely passing is a great blow to all of us,” said Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) in a Facebook post Thursday.

Sheriff Leon Wilmot said Sgt. Croutch embodied their motto, “Dedicated to Service” .

YCSO has called for badge shrouds to be attached to honor Sgt. Croutch.

It is unclear how the deputy passed away.
