Locals react to release of Mueller report

After years of following the investigation, the public has finally learned what is in the redacted copy of the Mueller report.

Our locals are left with mixed feeling on whether they believe Congress should continue the investigation.

Eric is a Yuma resident who said “There’s too much stuff being hidden. Since I’ve seen the reports, a lot of [Trump’s] own cabinet is getting indicted over this and I still think [Trump] knows a little more than he’s telling everybody.”

Meanwhile, Jim Hollimon, a local business owner feels otherwise, saying, “[Democrats] are trying to find something that’s not there, in my opinion. I think Trump’s doing a fabulous job.”

Some locals told News 11 that they believe the Democrats are simply looking for a reason to impeach President Trump.

So, since no evidence was found that the trump campaign committed a crime, they believe there’s no need to keep investigating.

Yet, there are others who said Congress should hold the president accountable because they believe he’s still guilty of obstruction of justice.
