Anza-Borrego Desert State Park visits up thanks to super bloom

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Borrego Springs is the largest state park in California.

In the recent weeks, Borrego Springs has seen an increase of visitors visiting to see the super bloom take place just 50 miles west of Brawley, Calif.

Park officials said that the super bloom is due to the rainy winter California had this year.

The park’s district services manager, Terry Gerson, said this has been one of the most productive flowers years and it is expected to continue for a couple of weeks.

People interested in viewing the wildflowers can visit the Visitor Center at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park for an area map of specific wildflower locations.
