Immigrant arrested for sexually assaulting and impregnating teen
A man was arrested in California for allegedly sexually assaulting and impregnating a 14-year-old girl, according to police.
The suspect, identified as Hector Montez, is being held at a six-million-dollar bond.
Police say the incident happened in March of last year and the girl hid her pregnancy for months. The two only knew each other through social media.
Last month, the young girl gave birth at a local hospital and hospital staff alerted the authorities.
Montez denied of knowing the young girl when in court on Tuesday.
Montez has been previously arrested twice for illegally entering the United States.
