Local health center offers aid as government shutdown continues

The Regional Center for Border Health will begin helping federal employees that have been affected by the ongoing government shutdown.

The non-profit organization will be reviewing cases and hopes to help with nutrition, utilities, and rental/mortgage assistance. Each case will be evaluated individually.

Regional Center for Border Health (RCBH) President and CEO Amanda Aguirre said, “[She is] committed to helping any federal employee and acknowledges their hard work and their contribution to our region.”

Aguirre designated special funds to help aid federal employees and their families. Any federal employee facing difficulties is encouraged to contact the Director of Public Relations, Alex Bejarano, at (928)-315-7910.
