Committee seeks valley residents’ help to battle poor air quality

Imperial Valley residents deal with one of the worst air qualities in California. Now they can do their part to change that.

Community leaders and environmental justice groups are coming together for a committee meeting to tackle the port air quality in the valley.

They need community members to be involved and voice their opinions on what needs to be fixed.

Imperial County Air Pollution Analyst Gilbert Rebollar said, “We have people from business. People from the public sector. And people from the health industry. And then we have our local environmental justice group and the APCD as the co-chair. So real to hear them out. And not only hear them out but take action on what they believe can and what should be done to improve the air quality in their areas.”
