Mayor of San Luis Rio Colorado speaks on humanitarian crisis

The Mayor of San Luis, Rio Colorado speaks on the humanitarian crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border and with the potential of a second migrant caravan with an estimated of 15 thousand people that is expected to leave Central America with the next month.

“We have been in talks with the immigration authorities in the United States and specifically the mayor in San Luis, Arizona to help those coming from either Mexico or Central America,” Mayor Santos Gonzalez Yescas.

Mayor Yescas also confirmed the President of Mexico Manuel Andres Lopez Obrador will be visiting the area with the next few months.

“I was just with the president of Mexico in Baja California speaking on the new projects that will take place in our area including talks about immigration,” said Mayor Yescas.
