Yuma County Board of Supervisors reappoints chair and vice chair

The Yuma County Board of Supervisors selected their new chair and vice chair for the upcoming year during Monday’s board meeting.

The board unanimously reappointed District 4 Supervisor Tony Reyes as chairman and District 2 Supervisor Russell McCloud as vice chairman.

As the year begins, the Board of Supervisors selects a chairperson and a vice chairperson among its members to serve during the coming year. The chairperson leads the board’s meetings, signs documents in the county’s name, and represents the board at events and ceremonies. The vice chair substitutes the chairperson when absent.

The Board of Supervisors serves as the county’s governing body and a number of special districts.
