Crossroads Mission gives back to the community on Thanksgiving Day
Crossroads Mission celebrated their three-day Thanksgiving day by giving back to those who are less fortunate.
There was a big crowd at the event to enjoy each other’s company and to give thanks for what they do have. More than 300 volunteers came together to make this event possible.
Executive Director Myra Garlit said that Crossroads Mission helps in more ways than just supporting the homeless in our area.
“It’s important for the community to know that we are here to help and we help in so many ways like we have an education center. We have a detox center, a homeless emergency center,” said Garlit .
Crossroads Mission served more than 500 meals to the community during the course of the event. They said it takes about 160 canned goods to get one meal on the table.
