2018 Share Your Holiday Turkey Drive

News 11’s annual Share Your Holiday Turkey Drive is taking place Friday with the goal of helping the Crossroads Mission.

The drive will kick off at 6 a.m. and end at 10 p.m. Members of the community can visit the following locations to drop off donations:

Walmart located at 2900 South Pacific Avenue Walmart located at 8151 East 32nd Street in the Foothills area “All day tomorrow (Friday) from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., we’re having the huge turkey drive and we always collect over a thousand turkeys and that would feed three days of Thanksgiving and thee days of Christmas so we’re having all the stuffings and dressing and whatever you’d like to donate at Walmart. The Foothills offered to do it the same day and time so this will be wonderful because a lot of people in the Foothills would travel down and so Walmart said, “‘why don’t we do it at both places.”’ We thought that was a great idea,” said Barbara Rochester of Crossroads Mission.

Last year we were able to raise over 1,000 turkeys and we are trying to reach that goal again this Friday.

We will also be receiving cash and all non-perishable food items.

Help us make a difference and stop by!
