Libraries Closed for Veterans Day

Bullying Prevention

On Wednesday, November 14, parents, educators, and children of all ages are invited to the Somerton Library at 1:00 p.m. for a Bullying Prevention Program. Alma Rivera from Catholic Community Services will share bullying prevention tips, finding support groups, and ways for students to develop healthy, positive attitudes. There is no charge to attend.

Turkey Scavenger Hunt

On Friday, November 16, children of all ages are invited to the San Luis Library at 2:00 p.m. for a Turkey Scavenger Hunt! Find the turkeys hidden around the library and bring them to the safety of the library’s corral! The person who finds the most turkeys wins a prize! There is no charge to attend.

The San Luis Library is located at 1075 N 6th Avenue in San Luis, Arizona. For more information, call (928) 627-8344.

Small Steps to Health & Wealth

Looking for ways to live a healthier life and achieve financial security? Small Steps to Health and Wealth™ is designed to help you implement behavior change strategies that simultaneously improve your health and personal finances.

Ready to break free of negative thought patterns that have been weighing you down emotionally, physically, and financially? On Saturday, November 17, Melissa Wyatt, Yuma County Family, Consumer, and Health Sciences Agent for the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, will present “Commit to Making a Change” at 1:00 p.m. at the Main Library. Learn about the five stages of change and how to develop a personal action plan.

There is no charge to attend; however, space is limited and registration is required. To register, call (928) 726-3904.
