Queiroz finally gets gold with C–1 1000m victory

With Sebastian Brendel eliminated in the semifinal, the door was wide open for a new Olympic champion in the men’s C–1 1000m. The gold medal in Tokyo was claimed by Isaquias Queiroz of Brazil.
