Arizona U.S. Representative Raul Grijalva on Democrats controlling the House

With the Democrats taking control of the House and Republicans retaining the Senate, Congressman Raul Grijalva shares his approach to get decisions passed in a bi-partisan Congress after being re-elected as the Arizona U.S. Representative for District 3.

“I think the need for civility and the need to stop the harshness, tone, and rhetoric are important,” said Grijalva.

Grijalva believes Democrats can set the tone in Congress and is looking forward to work with Republicans to get important issues passed, like infrastructure, healthcare, and job growth in Arizona and across the country.

“With my Republican colleagues, there is room for compromise and bipartisan decision making-but it takes ‘two to tangle’.”

Grijalva thinks the Democrats in the House will be more than willing to reach across the aisle for solutions. Arizona District 3 represents Yuma County where Grijalva will serve another two-year term.
