Travel Alert: Ramp closures and lane restrictions in Yuma for October 26

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to plan for Interstate 8 ramp closures and lane restrictions beginning at 9 am on Araby Road on Friday.

Constructors are scheduled to work on the Araby Road traffic interchange improvement project and the following restrictions are to take place in the work zone:

Both eastbound I-8 on- and off-ramps at Araby Road will be closed Friday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Southbound Araby Road will be closed Friday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flaggers and a pilot truck will be on site Friday, October 26, to redirect traffic to northbound Araby Road. A 10-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place on Friday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Araby Road. Both eastbound I-8 on- and off-ramps at Araby Road will be closed Saturday, October 27, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alternate routes include Avenue 8 1/2 E, Avenue 3E and 32nd Street. Delays are likely, so travelers should allow extra travel time. Drivers should slow down, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
