Lane closures on Araby Road beginning Monday night

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that crews will be working overnight on Araby Road next week.

ADOT’s news release said that crews will sand-blast and paint the Interstate 8 barrier wall located above Araby Road.

The southbound lane on Araby Road will be closed from 10 p.m., Monday to 5 a.m., Tuesday. On Tuesday night, the lane will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday.

The northbound lane on Araby Road will be closed from 10 p.m., Wednesday to 5 a.m., Thursday. On Thursday, the lane will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday.

ADOT officials advise drivers of delays and suggest alternate routes include Avenue 8 1/2 E, Avenue 3 E, and 32nd Street.

Drivers also encourage to slow down, pay close attention to signs, and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic when approaching the construction area.
