How Yuma residents can be part of the “International Christmas Project”

The “International Christmas Project” is a chance for the community to give back to children who may not receive gifts for Christmas, and it is approaching for Yuma residents.

A site in the Yuma area will be among 5,000 U.S. drop-off locations collecting shoebox gifts for children overseas during ‘Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week’, the week of November 12 through the 19.

“We are honored to be linking arms with our community to help children around the world experience the true meaning of Christmas,” said Regional Director Paul Fischbach, “These simple gifts show God’s love to children facing difficult circumstances.”

Yuma families, churches and groups will transform empty shoeboxes into fun gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items.

The Samaritan’s Purse project partners with local churches across the globe to deliver these expressions of God’s love to children affected by war, disease, disaster, poverty, and famine.

It will be the first gift for many of these children.

Below are the dates and drop-off locations available to Yuma residents.
