Yuma police investigating shooting

Yuma Police Department continues to investigate the shooting that happened on 8th Avenue and Second Street at around 10 p.m. Sunday night.

No injuries were reported and authorities detained two individuals for questioning.

“They did make contact with two individuals. They did detain them and question them. One actually had a warrant for an unrelated incident. He was arrested on a warrant. Another person was talked to and released,” said Sergeant Lori Franklin with YPD.

The investigation continued Monday at a home off of 1st Street and 7th Avenue.
