An evening of “ActOut Improv” at Gila Ridge HS

Drama students at Gila Ridge High School will present “ActOut Improv”, their second show of the season this Thursday, October 18, at 7 p.m.

The 25-member cast will perform in a variety of spontaneous skits and games before a live audience. Games include “Great Guru”, “Monologue to Scene”, and “The Interview”.

The cast will also get a random member of the audience involved in the show. Tickets are five dollars pre-sale or at the door.

The cast is made of up freshmen-seniors and this is their second show of the year. Future dates include the melodrama “Sawmill Saga” that will be presented on November 1 and 2 nd .

Theater teacher Mr. Lockhart hopes area residents and visitors will take advantage of this entertaining opportunity.

“Improv is a really important part of theatrical training,” said Lockhart. “Students learn how to think on their feet, how to cooperate, how to create connections with each other and the audience with very little staging or props.”
