One dead after three-vehicle collision on Interstate 10

One person is dead after being involved in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 Tuesday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The incident occurred eastbound on I-10, east of milepost 117, at approximately 6:31 a.m.

DPS said a passenger vehicle, traveling westbound, sideswiped a commercial truck tractor, also heading westbound. After sideswiping the truck tractor, the passenger vehicle crossed over the median and collided with another commercial truck tractor.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead.

The collision is still under investigation.
