Local agencies recognized for positively impacting the community

The United Way of Imperial County hosted their eighth annual “Kick-Off Breakfast” where they honored local agencies that went above and beyond for the community.

Whether it is helping foster children, abused women or families that are less fortunate, the event gave these agencies a chance to share the work they’re doing to help our residents.

Executive Director of United Way of Imperial County Ken Wuytens said, “They’ll find out a lot about what is going on, what the agencies do. What they’re doing to alleviate the problems of poverty and unemployment and so it’s a good beginning every fall to get started again.”
