Gila Vista Junior High School under lockdown

Gila Vista Junior High School is currently under lockdown due to police activity a few blocks away.

This is for precaution and the school said students are safe.

The Yuma Police Department said they are serving a high risk search warrant for a suspect who has multiple felonies.

YPD is currently in the area of 19th street and Walnut avenue. Police are negotiating with residents inside the home.
