Sunset Community Health Center hosts health fair
Sunset Community Health Center hosted its annual health fair Saturday morning at the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Career Center.
The theme for this year’s health fair was “superpower spirit, not all heroes wear capes. Some wear lab coats.”
The event was to wrap up National Health Center Week.
The national campaign aimed at raising awareness of the mission of America’s health centers that provide health care for the community.
The health fair hosted a variety of health agencies offering free basic dental exams, blood pressure, and hearing screenings.
People in attendance also had a chance to win bikes, sports equipment, and tickets to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park.
