YCSO: Infant almost struck by stray bullets

UPDATE

Authorities said a woman and her toddler were almost struck by bullets while sleeping after receiving reports of shots fired at a trailer park in the 2100 block of West 16th Street Thursday.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) fired numerous shots at a trailer at Twin Palm Mobile and RV Park. Authorities said a woman and a toddler were inside of the trailer and were almost struck while they were sleeping.

There were at least six bullet holes visible at the trailer home.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a suspected shooting in the 2400 block of West 16th Street in Yuma after receiving reports of shots fired on Thursday.

There are no injuries to report.

News 11 spoke with Public Information Officer Alfonso Zavala who confirmed that officers are at the scene trying to figure out exactly what happened.
