Police presence reported on 1st Avenue and 23rd Street

Yuma Police Department has confirmed it was a man found with injuries Friday afternoon in the area of 23rd Street and 1st Avenue.

We received reports of police presence on 1st Avenue and 23rd Street Friday afternoon.

Yuma Police Department said they responded to reports of a suspicious subject at 1:39 p.m. who appeared injured on 1st Avenue and 23rd Street.

Authorities said the individual was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center. The severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Police are still investigating the incident.
