Pet Talk: Meet Precious and Jayden

Summer is in full swing here in the Desert Southwest, which means the number of adoptions at our local animal shelter has gone down.

News 11’s Madison Kimbro braved the heat Monday afternoon to bring us the latest on two new animals featured for tonight’s Pet Talk.

First up is Precious. She is one of the prettiest cats I’ve seen come through the shelter and she loves attention. A beautiful charcoal color with green eyes, Precious was an owner turn in. While she’s not great with other animals, she would be a great companion to someone looking to have one pet. She loves to play and roll around and doesn’t mind being held. Precious is an indoor cat and just needs a nice space to call home. She is said to be 8 years old and weighs about 10 pounds, fur not included.

Next, we have Jayden. Jayden has been at the shelter since March. She is extremely people friendly and loves to play fetch. At 70 pounds, she’s a strong girl so you can try to play tug of war with her, but she’ll probably win. Due to her strength, she would do best in a home without children and without other animals. She needs to be Queen B. Not a huge fan of the water, Jayden enjoys going on walks and rolling around in the dirt and grass.
