Man accused of luring child for sex pleads not guilty

The man accused of trespassing inside a home in Yuma and luring a 10-year-old girl for sex in exchange for money was seen by a judge on Monday.

Chad Edward Diener, 42, entered a plea of not guilty before Judge David M. Haws in a Yuma County courtroom.

Diener, who is in custody, is charged with criminal trespassing, luring a minor for sexual exploitation, and molestation of a child.

The Yuma Police Department said the incident happened the morning of June 5.

“Police were called, we located him in the area,” Sgt. Lori Franklin with the Yuma Police Department said. “He was arrested and booked reference trespass and soliciting sex.”

Diener’s next court appearance is set for July 25.
