Bank robbery suspect takes plea agreement

The man tied to several cases, including an armed robbery at the National Bank of Arizona last year, took several plea agreements in court Wednesday morning.

Richard Howard Weigelt pleaded guilty to one felony count of armed robbery for the bank robbery incident that happened last December.

According to police, the suspect handed the bank teller a note telling her he had a gun and was demanding money. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police arrested Weigelt six hours later.

Weigelt will be sentenced July 11.
