Fuller Center cyclists aim to stop poverty by building homes

A group of 17 cyclists have put their helmets on and braced themselves for a long ride as they travel from Ocean Beach, California to Ocean City, New Jersey. This is part of the fuller center for housing, the non-profit that helps build homes in undeveloped areas, domestically and abroad.

Cyclists all around the country have come together for one purpose, to help those in need of a home.

Their mission is to build homes for those in need, each participant must raise up to $4,500 dollars.

They travel for 75 miles then arrive at a destination and rest until the next day. After they rest they get back on the road the next day until and the cycle repeats until they arrive at their first project house in Kansas City.

However, this is deeper than riding along the beautiful views, Tom Webber is a cyclist who has been riding with Fuller Center Housing for 8 years.

He says he loves riding his bike from coast to coast, but the most rewarding thing about this experience is the relationships he builds and the people helps and touches along the way.

Throughout the route, the riders will also participate in building projects for seven Fuller Center partners.
