Yuma Sector Border agents arrest suspected drug smuggler

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a man suspected of smuggling three different type of narcotic drugs on Monday.

It happened at the Interstate-8 Immigration Checkpoint when a Border Patrol K-9 alerted agents to an odor coming from a black 2017 Chevrolet Cruze.

The 20-year-old male driver, from Guadalupe, Arizona, was referred to secondary inspection.

Agents found 12 packages in the back seat of the vehicle, discovering the packages contained heroin, methamphetamine, and 591 pills of oxycodone.

The heroin and meth have a combined value of $102,488.
