Memorial Day ceremony: Hundreds remember the country’s fallen

Hundreds of people gathered at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park to honor thousands of service men and women on Monday.

The Memorial Day ceremony began at 9 a.m. at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma.

Moreover, over one thousand flags were put on display at the cemetery.

Officials said each one represented a veteran who served in the military or any other form of service.

Organizers said this was the 45th annual event.
