Local businesses gear up for Mother’s Day

Business owners said preparation for Mother’s Day is underway on Wednesday.

While many said it takes months to get ready for the holiday, they also encourage consumers to do their Mother’s Day shopping sooner, to beat crowds.

Keri Didier, owner of All Seasons Florist said flowers are always a good idea for your mother.

“Flowers are just a really nice way to say, ‘I love you,'” Didier said.

Frances Armstrong is the owner of Edible Arrangements in Yuma. She said sweets are a great option for those mothers with a big sweet tooth.

“Moms’ love this treat,” Armstrong said. “This is not what they would [normally] by for themselves. This is definitely something you want to get because it’s not something she would get herself.”
