Authorities find Mexicali cross-border tunnel
A cross-border tunnel was found that possibly links to Mexicali and Calexico, according to the Baja California Attorney General’s Office.
Authorities said the cross-border tunnel was found inside a building in the Santa Clara neighborhood in Mexicali which is near the Gran Plaza Outlets in Calexico.
The tunnel was equipped with rails, lights, a ventilation system, and was a quarter of a mile long.
An investigation is currently underway.
