Colonial Pipeline security evaluation set for July

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - The Transportation Security Administration will be performing a security evaluation of the Colonial Pipeline in July.

Colonial was in the process of scheduling the review with the TSA just as it was hit with a crippling ransomware attack last month.

Colonial says two things--dealing with the pandemic and a move to a new building--slowed down its ability to respond to TSA.

In the review, TSA will be making sure Colonial's systems and security services are "designed, built and operated in a reliable and resilient manner."
