Meet Kelly Fryer: Candidate for Arizona Governor

The election for Arizona’s Governors seat is this fall, so candidates are making their way across the state to spread their message. One of the candidates hoping to take Governor Doug Ducey’s position is Kelly Fryer.

She currently is the CEO OF the YWCA in Southern Arizona. YWCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. She has been endorsed by U.S. Congressman Raul Grijalva and other progressive leaders in the state. She also plans to focus on the middle class, education and our water crisis, but most of all, her main priority is to make sure the voices of ordinary Arizonans are heard.

“I’m finding that as i’m meeting with people around the state, in places like Yuma, people are just happy to know that there’s somebody that’s paying attention. Somebody that wants to hear their voices and think that their issues matter. I want people to know that i see them and i care about them,” said Fryer.

She also says that when she is governor she plans to get a satellite RV and turn it into a mobile governors office, which will enable her to hold office hours in Yuma. The 2018 Arizona gubernatorial election will take place on November 6, 2018.
