Border Patrol agents rescue woman along Colorado River

Agents say the woman was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for evaluation

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Border Patrol agents rescue a 40-year-old woman after getting stuck in the tules of the Colorado River near Paradise Cove.

U.S. Border Patrol agents say the Yuma County Sheriff's Office requested its assistance to find a woman in the river Thursday morning. They thankfully found her and removed her from the thick brush.

Paramedics transferred the 40-year-old woman, a U.S. citizen, to the hospital for evaluation.

The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, Rural Metro, and the Imperial County Fire Department were also on scene.
