Somerton police search for shooting suspects

Shots fired Monday night along Smith Way

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Somerton Police Department (SPD) is searching for the person, or persons, responsible for a shooting in the 1600 block of Smith Way.

SPD says officers were called to the scene just after 9:30 Monday night. They say they found spent shell casings in the street and in the front yard of a vacant home. There are no reports of injuries.

Witnesses report seeing two vehicles leaving the area around the time of the shooting. They say one was a white Dodge Charger. The other car was black. No further details on the make or model.
