YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Yuma returns to the City's Ray Kroc Sports Complex in July to celebrate Independence Day.

Grounds will open from 7-10 p.m. on Sunday, July 4, at the complex, located off Avenue A and 36th Street.

This will be a free event. Beginning with a color guard presentation followed by Miss Yuma County Gabrielle Heinz singing the national anthem. You can expect music, and vendors offering snacks and beverages.

Yuma's Mayor Doug Nicholls will welcome visitors and give the fireworks countdown, estimated to start at 8:45 p.m.

The city said no outside food or drinks are permitted inside the complex.

Last year the city had a drive-ip ceremony event due to COVID-19. For more information, click here.
