News 11 Weather Authority: Heat increasing

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - After experiencing an unusually cool weekend for late Spring, the temperatures begin to rebound as we reach the final week of the month of May.

Monday, we reached the daytime temperature summit of the high 90s.

For the rest of the week, count on the triple digits to emerge, thanks to a developing ridge.

A disturbance near the Pacific Northwest won't bring any immediate impact on our area, but will provide at least a little bit of mild air to not allow our temps to surge above the lower 100s.

Don't expect temperatures to go down again until the coming Memorial Day weekend.
