Saturday car show to benefit Crossroads Mission with food donations

It could be the answer to the age-old question “what lend to the invention of the wheel?”

For many the answer is simple, it’s man’s need for speed. It’s that very answer that led two men to ask local drivers “what’s under your hood?” and Yuma’s response was overwhelming. Last year what was expected to be a small gathering between car owners exploded into an all-out car show.

This year the organizers of the event reached out to the Yuma community for a larger venue and someone answered. On Saturday, January 20th this year’s 2K18 Meet will be held at the Sears parking lot in the Southgate Mall.

The event is free to spectators and those looking to show off their passion will only cost them five dollars. In an effort to help the community organizers have asked for food donations which will in turn be given to the Crossroads Mission.

Last year, the turn out was more than they had hoped for; exotics and supercars along with MOPAR and 4X4’s filled the lots.

This year the show is expected to be bigger and better.
