Colorado River Viaduct Bridge Repair Project at Interstate 8 begins Wednesday
The Colorado River Viaduct Bridge construction for its repair will begin this Wednesday at 9 p.m. at Gateway Park under westbound Interstate 8.
According to Caltrans, Yuma traffic on westbound I-8 will be detoured at 16th Street west, then north on 4th Avenue across Colorado River and merge onto westbound I-8 on the California side.
Gateway Park will be impacted for up to four weeks with work during the week at 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the first week.
Work may be extended during the evenings or as needed and moderate noise is to be expected.
Visitors will be able to access Gateway Park.
