Accident involving fire engine sends one to the hospital

Sheriff Deputies blocked off an entire block between County 15th and County 16th Sunday evening. Resting just north of the County 16th/Avenue 3E intersection was a small passenger car with it’s passenger door ajar. According to a Rural Metro representative an accident happened Sunday evening involving a passenger car and one of their fire engines. It’s unknown if the engine was on route to a call or who is to blame for the crash.

What we do know is that one of the passengers of the car was sent to the hospital; no word yet on the person’s condition. We will release that information as soon as it become available.
