Pet Talk: Meet “Big Papa” and Copper
What’s your new years resolution? Is it finally adopting that animal you’ve always wanted? Well we’ve got you covered if your looking for a new furry pal to ring in the new year.
Meet a gray tabby named “Big Papa” and a beautiful boxer mix named Copper.
First is Big Papa, a large tabby cat that loves nothing more than to just lounge. If your looking for one of those cats that will keep you company on the couch, Big Papa is it. He was a stray found in Yuma in the beginning of December. He enjoys playing with toys and loves a good back rub. It’s take a bit for him to gain your trust, so the ideal owner for him must be patient.
Next we have, Copper. This beautiful, full of life boxer mix is 4 years old and was surrendered by his owners. He has so much energy as you can see, so it’s important he have a yard to run around in. He can be selective when it come to other dogs, so if you do have other canines, it’s important they meet first. Copper would make the ideal pet for a single family or a family with older children. He has been at the shelter since September.
If you are interested either Big Papa or Copper, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday and for more information you can head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page @Madisonkyma
