UPDATE: ADOT: Both lanes have reopened after a vehicle fire at milepost 24 on Interstate 8 eastbound east of Yuma.

Interstate 8 eastbound is closed for a vehicle fire east of Yuma Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

There is no estimated time to reopen the highway at milepost 24. Drivers may consider delaying travel or using an alternate route during the closure.
