San Luis Police Department awarded $22K by Governor’s Office of Highway Safety

The Arizona Govenor’s Office of Highway Safety granted the San Luis Police Department (SLPD) $22,000 in grants to help strengthen their DUI Alcohol Enforcement and Selective Traffic Enforcement.

SLPD earned $10,000 to enhance for the department’s DUI Alcohol Enforcement effort and $12,000 on Selective Traffic Enforcement.

These programs will allow patrol officers to focus on impaired drivers during the holiday season and patrol the areas were speeding and aggressive driving is reported.

With the help of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, SLPD can continue to reduce injuries and deaths by arrested impaired drivers and enforce laws during the holidays and long weekends.
