Reports of shots fired in Yuma neighborhood

The Yuma Police Department responded to shots being fired in the area of 10th Avenue and 11th street has three people in custody.

According to Yuma Police Department, the two men were shooting at a gray passenger vehicle with two victims inside.

“We had various calls from multiple neighbors calling 911 with multiple shots being fired in the area,” said YPD Edith Ortiz. “Nobody was hurt, nobody was hit.”

Once YPD arrived on the scene, both men took off on foot and were arrested along with a woman at a home nearby. Irene Munson was seen in court on Saturday and is facing five charges including aggravated assault on an officer and disorderly conduct. As of now the relationship between her and the two men has not been released but details will unfold as the investigation continues.
