Halloween enforcement detail resulted in 104 traffic stops

The Yuma Police Department’s Halloween enforcement detail held from Saturday, Oct. 28th through Tuesday, Oct. 31st led to 107 traffic stops.

With the help from Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and nine extra officers, the following traffic stops were made:

6 total DUI Arrests, 4 for Misdemeanor DUI, 1 for extreme DUI, and 1 for DUI drugs.

14 – Sober designated drivers contacted.

45 – Speeding citations issued 1 of them for Criminal Speed.

40 – Violations cited for other than speeding.

3 – Child Safety Seat violations.

1 – Other arrests.

The average BAC was 0.147.
