Automated system gives Somerton parents a scare on Tuesday

Somerton Schools were testing a new automated system Tuesday and accidentally made absence calls to parents.

The automated system failed and called parents with the same absence message.

According to Somerton Schools District, the school district was being overwhelmed with calls Tuesday regarding this situation.

They have since fixed this problem.
