YUHSD college-going rates beat state percentage

YUMA, AZ – The Arizona Board of Regents released a report on college-going percentages across the state. The data shows that the Yuma Union High School District beat the state average by 15.55 percent.

ABOR gathered the information based on last year’s graduating class from over 500 high schools in Arizona. Over 52 percent of seniors in the state enrolled in post-secondary education, while YUHSD was over 68 percent.

Below are the five schools in the district and the percent of college-going rates:

Cibola High School – 63.5%

Gila Ridge High School – 67.9%

Kofa High School – 67.9%

San Luis High School – 76.3%

Yuma High School – 60.9%
