Somerton man released after being booked on charges of child pornography

The Somerton man accused of obtaining child pornography was in court today.

36 year-old Marco Antonio Castillo was booked on charges of possession of child porn and sexual exploitation of a child. He was being held on a $200,000 cash bond, but instead was released cash-free. The county attorney failed to file a formal complaint against him so judge Juan M. Guerrero* had no other choice but to release him. Earlier this evening, we were able to speak with Mr. Castillo as he was being released from the Yuma County Detention Center, here is what he had to say,

Reporter, Madison Kimbro: “They said that they fond devices in your home as far as child pornography. Would you say those allegations are true?”

Marco Antonio Castillo: “No comment, thank you.”

We are unsure if the woman accompanying him was his mother or sister, but his wife was in court today and also declined to comment. As we previously reported, Castillo works for TRAX contracting company at the Yuma Proving Ground. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
