Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s presidential pardon accepted

A U.S. District Court judge has accepted the presidential pardon for former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Arpaio was found guilty back in July of criminal contempt.

Arpaio’s defense attorneys had requested the dismissal of the guilty verdict. Arpaio did not attend the hearing.
